g20 Fighting the none existent “Man”

You have to wonder why empty-headed anarchists are descending on the G-20 summit meeting being held in Pittsburgh. In case they haven’t noticed, the very thing they’ve been praying for – the end of capitalism – has advanced quite nicely these last three years. The delegates of the so-called “industrial nations” the protesters would like to rip apart, leave the dirty work of industrial production to China and its billions of slave laborers.

Anarchists should enjoy it while they can. The great affluence of the United States, now evaporating, afforded it citizens the kind of leisure our dusk-to-dawn hard-working ancestors could only dream of. It was the capitalism of their fathers and grandfathers that built the wealth now sustaining the protesters, many of them college age, as they shake clinched fists and shout slogans in a city that once produced the world’s steel. As America’s second depression worsens, it will be harder for anarchists to afford the bus or plane fair to the next gathering protesting dirty money. Then, their good intensions and “idealism” won’t even buy them a cheap cigar or bad music for their ipods. Mission accomplished, guys – you can head back to your  cold caves.

conquest Bulldozers Won’t Stop the Invasion

Recently, it was reported that French authorities used bulldozers to erase a Calais refugee camp of 300 Afghan and Pakistani illegal aliens, which housed a mosque of tarp-covered crates. The refugees gather in the French port city like the medieval armies of Normandy to make the Channel crossing to England. Like William Duke of Normandy, Islam intends to conquer England. The English Channel, it appears, is still one of the world’s great invasion routes.

According to Britain’s Border Agency, since January, more than 14,000 individuals were apprehended trying to enter the UK illegally by crossing the English Channel from France. Boarder agents also searched over 400,000 freight vehicles.

And who can blame them. England has gone out of its way to make deranged radical Muslims feel right at home. Shortly after the London bombings in 2006, the House of Commons Intelligence Committee released a report detailing Britain’s secret agreement to leave radical Islamic groups alone, provided they not commit acts of violence against the tiny realm. “The result,” the Times of London reported, “was ‘Londonistan,’ as Britain became the hub of al-Qaida in Europe.” According the London Daily Telegraph, today, “The British security service, MI5, says it monitors an average of 30 serious terrorist plots in Britain at any given time, with the vast majority tied to Pakistani groups.”

Other European governments made equally foolish agreements with terrorist organizations was well. In 1985, Palestinian’s hijacked the Italian cruise ship the Achille Lauro. Wheelchair-bound American Leon Klinghoffer was murdered by the terrorists for no other reason than Klinghoffer was a Jew. After the American military apprehended the terrorists and brought them to a U.S. bases in Italy, our military was forced to hand them over to local law enforcement. Italian authorities later smuggled the Palestine Liberation Front murderers out of Europe. Most recently, Britain arranged the release of Libyan terrorist Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Megrahi, who in 1988 placed a bomb on Pan Am Flight 103 that crashed at Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 243 passengers. The Europeans, therefore, aided Islamic terror while simultaneously providing a base for their operations.

Unlike the Norman conquest of Britain in 1066, which elevated the culture of a backward Island, Islam threatens to drag England back to the barbaric 6th Century. There aren’t enough bulldozers to stop Islam from overrunning Europe’s putrefying carcass.

sign What Will Obama do with the Gitmo 3?

President Obama asked a military court for a sixty-day freeze in legal proceedings affecting the trial of Sheikh Mohammed and his two co-defendants who plotted the 9/11 attacks. Obama, it appears, has painted himself into a corner. He campaigned against the Bush administration’s treatment of captured terrorist as prisoners of war; prisoners who should be held indefinably in the dungeons at Guantanamo Bay. Instead, Obama (and the Supreme Court) decided that the courts were better suited to fight America’s muddled war on terror. With the clock ticking down the minutes until January 22 – Obama’s deadline for closing Gitmo– the president can’t decide whether to allow military tribunals or civilian courts jurisdiction over the killers of 3,000 Americans. Whatever the president decides, Sheikh Mohammed and his friends plan to make the most of their time in open court. The trio are acting as their own attorneys.

In preparation for their defense, the defendants ordered, and received, a copy of the film “Judgment: The Court Martial of Lt. William Calley,” the 1975 Stanly Kramer film staring Harrison Ford. The film depicts the military trial of Calley for his leadership role in the killing of civilians during the Vietnam War – in what became known as the My Lai massacre. It’s unclear whether the Gitmo 3 hope to glean a better understanding of military court proceedings or if they want to use Calley’s legal strategy in which he gained his freedom after serving three years under house arrest after his murder conviction.

Most of the 9/11 families, and member of congress, hope the trials stay in the military courts. It’s disturbing Obama is conflicted.

In military courts, the presiding officer can clear a court room when matters touching on national security are to be presented. The evidence shared with the defense is not likely to find its way in the hands of the media – the defense attorneys are military men appointed by the court. And most important of all, there are no hung juries. All it takes is a two-thirds vote by a military jury to convict. And appeals are limited and rarely successful. In short, foreign war criminals are not accorded the same constitutional protections of a Charlie Manson or a Timothy McVeigh.

If Obama chooses to grant the terrorists access to our civilian criminal courts, he is forcing the U.S. government to reveal its intelligence secrets in open court while granting foreign terrorists the protections of the U.S. Constitution. Obama’s decision, therefore, puts him in the very real position of showing were his sympathies lie. Will he side with the families who want Sheikh Mohammed and his friends tried as foreign war criminals, or will he side with the Sheikh by prosecuting him as though he was a U.S. citizens? The clock is ticking for Obama.

letterman Letterman to Help Obama’s Comedic Comeback

If any further proof was needed that President Obama has lost the debate on health care, you need look no further than the president’s weekend talk show appearances. His supporters in the media were more than happy to provide the free campaign airtime to help the president present his socialism as  “reform.”

According to the New York Times:

No other president has been a guest on so many Sunday talk shows at once, which signaled how much Mr. Obama wanted to reclaim the health care debate and persuade skeptics that his plans would not increase taxes on the middle class. But for so well-spoken and confident a president, the lack of spontaneity on Sunday was striking. So was the homogeneity: Mr. Obama appeared on Univision, but he drew the line at Fox.

Obama knew better than to appear on Fox; they would only challenge the premise behind his something-for-nothing socialism.

The final sign that conservative activists have the president’s back against a wall is Obama’s scheduled appearance on tonight’s Late Show with David Letterman, where he will be the comedian’s only guest. Perhaps the president can read the answers to Letterman’s “Top Ten List.” If that list happens to be, “You Know a President of the United States has lost it When…,” I know what the number one answer is…“When he needs a gap-toothed comedian’s help selling socialized medicine.” This would be tragic if it weren’t so funny.

edwards He Puts the Sleazy in Sleazy Lawyer

Former presidential candidate John Edwards, the sleazy ambulance chaser turned politician who many on the left described as a real man of the people, is hiding from the prying eyes of the media at his modest man-of-the-people 100-acre estate. The Raleigh, North Carolina Grand Jury is calling witnesses regarding Edward’s alleged illegal use of campaign funds to hide his extramarital affair with Ms. Rielle Hunter. The New York Times reports that Edwards may soon admit to fathering Hunters 19-month-old daughter.

The main issue before the Grand Jury is whether cash payoffs to secure Ms. Hunter silence during Edward’s candidacy constituted a reportable political contribution. No, really. Democratic consultant Joe Sinsheimer told the Times that Edward shouldn’t worry, “the law probably doesn’t anticipate payments to a mistress during a campaign.”

According to onetime aid Andrew Young, Edwards calmed an agitated Ms. Hunter by promising to make an honest woman of her once his current wife, Elizabeth Edwards (who is suffering from cancer), died. He is reported to have promised his mistress a rooftop wedding in New York City to the live strains of the Dave Matthews Band – no doubt playing their song “Squirm.”

At Sen. Edward Kennedy’s recent Boston funeral, the assembled mourners looked on Edwards as something of a pariah. For most Democrats, leaving a woman in a submerged car to die a watery death is forgivable. Promising to leave a woman once dead to take responsibility for a child you fathered is contemptible.

The morally confused New York Times offers the secluded Edwards some comfort in his time of trouble:

Any acknowledgment of paternity would have ramifications for Mr. Edwards, who could suffer a further blow to his credibility but could also be praised for belatedly accepting responsibility.

Praised for belatedly accepting responsibility? I know John Edwards is a high-priced injury lawyer – the lowest invertebrate life form on Earth – but since when do people deserve praise for admitting the truth only after being caught in a lie – not by the Times but the National Enquirer, no less?

voting Obama Alienates the Illegal Alien Vote

“You lie,” yelled Rep. Joe Wilson at President Obama during his national photo-op pushing his unpopular health care plan. But there are those who fear Obama’s pledge to exclude 12 million illegal aliens from access to his health care death panels may be true. The Rev. Luis Cortéz, president of the Hispanic Esperanza network, told the Reuters News Service:

All we can do at this point is look at each local election, one by one, and punish those individuals-regardless of their party-who deny rights to legal immigrants and children, as well as the poorest in our nation, the undocumented.

That’s not a veiled threat. When Republican congressman Robert K. Dornan lost his House seat to his Democratic challenger Loretta Sanchez in 1996, the Orange County Republican challenged the victorious Democrat before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. His charge? That Sanchez won the election on votes cast by illegal aliens. The House committee rejected Dornan’s challenge sighting the fact that Sanchez’s 979-vote victory contained of only 624 illegal votes – not enough in their view to challenge Sanchez’s legitimacy to sit in congress. That’s why Rep. Joe Wilson’s charge that Obama lied is so credible. It’s difficult to believe Obama would alienate a powerful and important, if illegal, Democratic Party voting block.

Now, Obama needs to mend political fences with illegals before, in their anger, they join the ranks of the Tea Party. Don’t laugh, politics makes for strange bedfellows.

clowns Obama’s Deranged and Angry Few

Democratic strategists gave their zany left-wing pressure groups marching orders to mobilize against conservative grass-roots protesters fighting President Obama’s socialist agenda. Health Care for America Now (HCAN), along with sister organizations such as ACORN and MoveOn.org, are planning rallies outside health care insurance companies.

According to the Washington Times, HCAN prays, “each protest will include a minimum of 30 participants.” Obama’s fuming few will descend on health insurers CIGNA, WellPoint and United Health Care, providers of the best medical care in the world. According to the Times, the deranged organizers gave the minor operation a grandiose title – the “insurance enemies project.” The targeted Health care organizations should put out a small table holding brochures with easy to understand tips for lowering blood pressure. The thirty or less derelicts aligned against the majority of Americans can be handed a Styrofoam cup of coffee and a doughnut to calm their nerves before piling back into the mini clown car for the long, silent drive back to ACORN headquarters.

The organizers say the rallies aim to sway congress to support ObamaCare. They could always march on Washington, but that might invite comparisons. Thirty deranged ACORN self-talkers are not as convincing to congress as the 1.8 million well adjusted American tax protestors who shook the capitol last Saturday. In politics, size does matter.

elephanttea Tea Party Helping Republicans Find Their Lost Souls

Sorry folks, but I have to keep beating this dead horse. The Republican Party is not a conservative political organization. The reason liberals and the far left continue perpetuating this myth is that the actions of timid and squishy Republicans – like George W. Bush and John McCain – tarnish the conservative movement by association. This is why the independent Tea Party movement is so been so effective – its strength is in the fact that it is not a “big tent” movement. Its size and strength is do to the fact there are no McCain-like squishes to dilute the Tea Party’s conservative message. It is also why the media is desperate to present the Tea Party as a wing of the GOP.

The New York Times headline said it all, “GOP checks for a pulse, and finds one.” According to the story by Adam Nagourney:

Less than a year after an election that nearly wiped them out politically, conservatives are showing signs of life. They are still searching for new leaders and new ideas. Their victories have been more about taking advantage of President Obama’s missteps than advancing an agenda that can recapture large numbers of voters.

Wow, where do I begin? First, conservatives didn’t lose the last election. Squishy Republicans did. George W. Bush’s Democrat-lite “compassionate conservative” governing style, coupled with his no-win-wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, savaged his party, nearly destroying it. Sen. John McCain (a Bush clone) campaigned to continue these policies another four years. This hammered the final few nails in the Republican’s coffin. Conservatives have been out of power within the Republican Party since 1988 – the year Reagan left the political stage. The country didn’t reject conservatism, it rejected the Bush dynasty and the their squishy clone from Arizona.

Second, the Times’ credits conservatives for “taking advantage” of Obama’s “missteps.” The president’s agenda to transform America into a morally and financially bankrupt left-wing banana republic is hardly a tactical stumble. That Americans are becoming aware of Obama’s socialism is not because conservatives are pointing it out, but because Americans recognize the dangerous and alien ideas moving from the ACORN manual and encroaching on their lives by way of congressional legislation. Americans are not rallying to conservatism for ideological reasons as much as they are for its common sense approach to living in the real world. The question is whether the squishy John McCains’ of the Republican Party are man enough to stand aside and stop serving as obstacles to the conservative backlash building in the country. Whether the GOP finds its pulse depends on whether it first can find its Reaganesque conservative soul.

arni The Laboratory of Stupidity
California has always been a laboratory for every goofy left-wing idea to pop into the tiny heads of its “progressive” utopian dreamers. Those dreams are costly. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the Golden State’s unemployment rate now stands at 12.2%, surpassing the national average of 9.7%.

With fewer of its people able to pay the state’s taxes – the highest in the nation – California’s shortfall in tax receipts recently caused a budget crisis that pitted its big-spending Democrat-dominated legislature against its Hollywood action-hero turned girly-man Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. When the phony battle ended, the state’s rulers still spent an outrageous $84.6 billion. Gov. Arnold heralded the budget as California “living within its means.” Next year, the state expects to post a $7 to $8 billions deficit.

California, therefore, is a perfect laboratory to showcase the job and wealth destroying efficiency of unsustainable government spending. Looking at progressive California, it’s not hard to imagine how the nation will fair under Obama’s unsustainable debt. Californians – and Americans at large  -  need to decide if they are lab mice or men.

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi shed tears at a press conference recalling the anti-Obama/Democratic rage building in the country. “I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw … I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and … I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made…I also think that they have to take responsibility for any incitement that they may cause.” Unlike most of her critics, I believe her tears are genuine. She reads the polls.

“Fifty-six percent of voters nationwide now oppose the health care reform proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s the highest level of opposition yet measured and includes 44% who are Strongly Opposed,” says the latest Rasmussen report. Rasmussen also informs us that only 12% of Americans buy the Left and Jimmy Carter’s bilge that American resistance to Obama’s socialism is the result of racism. 57% of the nation disapproves of Pelosi, one point worse than ObamaCare. No wonder she’s crying. No matter how Pelosi and others try to spin socialism as being as American as apple pie, the alien stench is too foul to mask from even the simplest American.

What is it exactly about others’ language that so rattles our dear Madam Speaker? At the recent 1.8 million strong Tea Party protest in Washington, D.C., Gary Brown of Greer, South Carolina, told the Washington Times:

We want our freedom back. The Constitution is the law of the land. We don’t need lawyers to interpret it. Get out of our lives.

Dr. Wayne Kawalek, a doctor from Cleveland, said of ObamaCare:

The Obama administration is going about this in the wrong way. This is a huge debacle. It’s sad that we’ve come this far.

Judy Spanel, a registered nurse from Ohio, said:

I’ve always voted but have never been active in politics. We’ve watched this country decline. The deficit spending is out of hand. They keep coming to us for money.

These are just a few voices of those President Obama, Jimmy Carter and the tearful Nancy Pelosi wish would curb their enthusiasm. The “incitement that they may cause” is political, not violent. The political backlash against the nation’s despotic Democrats in the upcoming 2010 election will cause many a socialist politician to shed a tear. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes…tears of joy.
